Christ Ahnsahnghong said the end was 2012? - The True WMSCOG

Sign with 2011, 2012 and 2013

Christ Ahnsahnghong is a false prophet because He predicted the End of the World in 2012 and it didn’t happen.

So recently those who like to speak against the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong, are misleading people by claiming to have evidence of Christ Ahnsahnghong preaching about the end of the world taking place in 2012.

They do this by quoting a line in Christ Ahnsahnghong’s book entitled “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”:

“According to the prophecy, one day is to be interpreted as one year (Eze. 4:6, Nu. 14:34) Therefore, if we add 168 years to 1844 AD when Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in heaven, 2012 AD becomes the last day” — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”: Pg. 15

Like in the time of the disciples, there are things in the Bible and in the books of Christ Ahnsahnghong that are difficult to understand (2 Peter 3:16). I hope this gives you a little clarity on the matter.

Only the Author knows the intent and purpose of the writings.

Christ Ahnsahnghong made clear the purpose of the book: “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep” in the preface of the book.

The core content of this book is that salvation is not given according to whether we know the date of the end or not, but it is given to the people who know the truth of the New Covenant and obey it. Those who neither believe in the truth nor obey it, only caring about the date, consequently will fall away from the truth and will leave the church before that day comes, being tempted by Satan. But those who only believe in the truth of the new covenant and obey it, not caring about the date, will be saved regardless of whether that date is proved true or not. — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”: excerpt from the Preface

The ultimate goal of every Christian is to be saved and go to heaven. Christ Ahnsahnghong clearly said that those who know and follow the truth of the New Covenant will be saved. Not only in the preface, but even throughout the rest of the Book, Christ Ahnsahnghong emphasized the importance of not focusing on an “end of the world” date.

Salvation doesn’t depend on whether we know the date or not, but what matters is whether or not you take the new covenant of Jesus. Therefore, we shouldn’t think about if the date is correct or not. Rather, we should better study the bible with an earnest heart to find out if the truth we have is true or false. – “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep” page 7

Therefore, our salvation doesn’t depend on whether we know the date or the time, but only depends on whether you keep the covenant of life, the new covenant of the Passover. — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”: Pg. 27

2012 is not about the End of the World, but the Completion of the Heavenly Temple.

The truth is that Christ Ahnsahnghong never wrote about the year 2012 being the end of the world. Those who speak against the World Mission Society Church of God only quote one part of the book, to mislead people into thinking that the WMSCOG is a doomsday church.

Then what did Christ Ahnsahnghong write about the year 2012

From the next day of receiving the Ten Commandments, the construction of the temple started, and the Temple was completed in 168 days. Since fulfillment of this prophecy was to be done by Jesus, on the day of atonement on July 10th, 1844 AD according to the sacred calendar, Jesus went into the Most Holy Place in heaven. From that time on, it’s shown that the construction of the Heavenly Temple started, and in 168 years, the Heavenly Temple is to be completed. According to the prophecy, one day is to be interpreted as one year. (Eze 4:6; Nu 14:34) Therefore, if we add 168 years to 1844 AD when Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in heaven, then 2012 AD becomes the last day. But we cannot help but to think of the words that for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep” Pg. 15

As we see in the passage, what was started in 1844 and ends in 2012? It is the construction of the Heavenly Temple. No where in the passage does Christ Ahnsahnghong say, that 2012 was going to be the end of the world, judgement day.

The reason why we believe in God is not because of the end of the world, but because we want to repent and be saved. This is God’s will. For this reason the book: “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”, is focused on “repentance” and “salvation”. If you look at the book differently, you cannot understand it correctly, for you will be going against the intentions of the author.

If the WMSCOG believed the end of the World was 2012 why didn’t they proclaim it?

Many religions and churches have proclaimed to know the date of the end of the world, and you can agree that they go all out in making it known. They have public countdowns, they make billboards and banners, they are interviewed in TV and radio shows, etc…

My question is: if the World Mission Society Church of God really believed the end of the world was going to take place in 2012, why didn’t they do the same? I mean, we believe the Sabbath Day is the correct day to worship God, and we proclaim it boldly; we believe the Passover of the New Covenant is the way to eternal life, and we proclaim it boldly… If the end of the world being 2012 was one of our core beliefs, why wasn’t it proclaimed like everything else? Because the year 2012 was not being taught as the year the world would end in the World Mission Society Church of God.

Rumors will always surround the true Church

In the days of the early Church, the Romans persecuted the Christians without understanding the teachings of the Christian faith. They considered the Christians as cannibals who ate the flesh and drank the blood of dead bodies. The reason they did this is because they didn’t understand the New Covenant Passover in which Jesus promised His flesh and blood through the bread and wine (Mt 26:17-19, 26-28). The Romans did not understand that this was how Christ promised His people Eternal life (Jn 6:53-54).

In the same way, as it is today: without an official announcement from the headquarters of the World Mission Society Church of God, everything others say are just… well…rumors.

To insist that the Church of God claims that 2012 should’ve been the end of days is absoutely absurd. It clearly shows in the book that Christ AhnSahngHong wrote was speaking soley of the completion of Jerusalem Temple.

As the article states, if the Church of God were claiming 2012 as the end, then where were the pamphlets, the business cards or billboards to show the proclaimation of the end? I believe it is common knowledge between anyone that believes in the bible that no one knows the date or time of the last day.

Therefore the rumors of 2012 are just full of false information, just like at the time when the guards were paid a large sum of money to speak false information to the people (ref. Matt 28:11~15) to distort the truth and lead them away from the church that actually follows what the bible says.

Thanks to God for giving us so much mercy through Passover- that’s what Christ Ahnsahmghong emphasized in the book.

The reason Church of God never preached 2012 will be end of world is because Christ Ahnsahgnhing was speaking about the Heavnly temple being completed then.
Such a shame that people fall into this misunderstanding
But thanks to God it’s being cleared up!! :-)

It seems like those who accuse Christ AhnSahngHong of writing that end is 2012 are just like those who view the bible as a book of morals or a fictional story. Without humbling ourselves and learning from the Author the exact meaning of both books we come to make such erroneous remarks. The purpose of the book Christ AhnSahngHong wrote was so that His children could realize the main focus which is repentance and salvation. I just am very happy that this article was made so that many of God’s children are not misled.

There are two possibilities about those who say the World Mission Society Church of God proclaimed the end of the world in the year of 2012.

1)They are just telling an outright lie.
2)Or they misunderstood something and spread that misunderstanding

But to say Christ Ahnsahnghong said the world would end in 2012 is incorrect. Thank you for posting other excerpts from His book. The preface is crystal clear,

“The core content of this book is that salvation is not given according to whether we know the date of the end or not, but it is given to the people who know the truth of the New Covenant and obey it.” – Preface

If you are going to try and use this book, you must understand the intention of the author. This book is not about foretelling the end of the world. This book is about focusing on the truth of salvation.

“Therefore, we shouldn’t think about if the date is correct or not. Rather, we should better study the bible with an earnest heart to find out if the truth we have is true or false.” –pg. 7

This book is about keeping the faith, by focusing on the truth of Life, while waiting for Christ to come from the Kingdom of Heaven. Christ Ahnsahnghong said to focus on the truth.

People who use this book to say that Christ Ahnsahnghong foretold the end of the world, or the WMSCOG did, are taking the words of this book out of context(see Examining the WMSCOG just like the Pharisees).

People who do not like the WMSCOG have taken something that can be misconstrued and twisted it to make it look like our church is a doomsday church.

Please examine the preface of this book to understand the reason it was written. And if you want a more detailed explanation, go to the WMSCOG and let someone there show you through the word of God.

there exist lots of evidence of ahnsanghong prophecy of 2012 ending of the world. search the entire web and anybody can find plenty of them

      • The True WMSCOG

If the evidence is so clear, would you care to point to the direction where this evidence can be found?

I remember last year a false leader and his followers were all over the USA proclaiming that in May 2012, it would be the end and October 2012 was the final judgement day. That is an example of someone believing and proclaiming the world would end. Even here in NYC they were everywhere yet nothing happened. They received no backlash, but Christ Ahnsahnghong and WMSCOG members are mocked because we let people know how to be saved, whenever that time comes. It’s not right to twist someone’s words and intent. We don’t like when it’s done to us then we MUST NOT do it to God.

As I continue to research the truth and “false” about the WMSCOG, I come to realize that most arguments are either lies, difference in opinion of doctrine (their belief vs bible) or just a misunderstanding. I simply say if you want to know about the WMSCOG just visit Your local church, its not that difficult and Im sure, you will be received gladly and your questions answered. Now if You choose to believe and understand, thats up to you. :)

@MAIKA … they aren’t false leaders, they were your true leaders

I recently attended a worship service at WMSCOG about the mission of being a watchman. In the bible, a watchman is someone who follows God’s instruction and boldly warns people so that they will be protected. An example is prophet Ezekiel. If WMSCOG believed the end of the world on a particular date, members would boldly proclaim it. Members constantly testify in public areas, workplaces, schools and to family and friends about the Passover which gives eternal life, Sabbath and all the Feasts of God, and about Heavenly Mother. This is NOT a shy group of people. I’ve never heard church of God members testifying about a specific date to end the world.

I was with the church of god and I distinctly remember our leaders saying the world will end in 2012. They kept alluding to all the nuclear talks and war talks in the media. And then now it seems the church of god are changing their story, but this is not what they taught us in our lessons.

    • The True WMSCOG

I was not there when your leader spoke, so I cannot say he did, but to give you the benefit of doubt… Lets say he did, since Christ Ahnsahnghong did not say it, it means that your leader had a misunderstanding of doctrine and therefore was incorrect in saying that. Human are entitled to err, so for this reason due to a mans error, we cannot stop following the will of God.
Christ Ahnsahnghong never taught the world wold end in 2012, for that reason WMSCOG never preached it as an official teaching of the Church. Thanks for your comment, and don’t forget to subscribe.

I think the first step to make it right with God is to humble ourselves and ask God to give us wisdom and understanding, I have never heard anybody in the Church of God say that 2012 was the end of the world, but again people just run their mouths without even thinking, can we say that we know more than God? never! Our thoughts and God’s thoughts are totally different, psalms 139:17-24 Isaiah 55:8-9 Our thoughts cannot be compared to God’s thoughts, in the end we will all have to stand in front of God, and books will be open showing what we have done. Revelation 20:12, people fear God and do what he commands.
You know the more persecution or opposition The church of God receives the more I believe that this is truly a Spiritual battle!!
But no matter what is said about the church of God, Christ Ahnsahnghong and heavenly Mother, by their fruit you can see that they are God! and that what people say to oppose are just lies! For a true Christian the date does not matter! If you are doing what is right in the eyes of God! I think People just look for excuses to live a worldly life and not happy with that they oppose, distort and confuse others who want to follow a true Christian life! Acts 20:30 all was written and must come to pass!
    Keep the faith stay strong!

  8. Crissy

This is so Amazing because its true as a member of the Church of God WMS there has never been any preaching about the end of the world. We have always focused on how to receive Salvation. Naturally the end will come according to God’s will but somehow people have a concept that when we speak of receiving Salvation that we are speaking of the End of Age. I highly recommend for the ones who are being misled to understand the difference of Eternal Life and Death there is a huge difference. Please come to Our Local church near you so you can see the truth in the Bible. Every question is answered through the bible. Please receive the Savior and Eternal life from Christ Ahnsahnghong!! :)

  9. Dan

Why don’t the people that speak against the Church of God, go after all the media that sensationalized about 2012 being the last day? That was proved be a big myth and lie. If the Church of God knew that the world was going to end in 2012 then why did it continue to build churches and its membership increase?

  10. Arthur

I think the true faith is to follow God and don’t consider about dates or years. It’s strange because many religious groups in the past talked about the end of the world but no one really paid attention to them or make a big deal about it. But even thought The Church of God never talk about the end they always receive persecution, I realized reading the bible that always the true people of the God are persecuted by the world. With all the articles that I am reading in this website makes me want to learn more about this church. Thanks for the good articles guys. :) :)

  11. Dj

I have attended the church of God for many years and I was never told the world would end 2012. I am very active and never missed a study session or meeting so I think that if the church taught such a thing I definitely would have known about it. I believe sometimes people have selective hearing and want to here what they want to hear. It sounds to me that if anyone has left the church because they thought that it would end in 2012 was probably someone who already had in mind to leave. Sometimes people have difficulty living the life of a Christian because it is not an easy life. So I feel they try to find some fault in the teaching (or distort a teaching ) in order for them to justify leaving the path of salvation. As for me, I make sure I have a full understanding of the teachings and study them over so I can live according to them. I believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong not because someone told but because I studied the teachings over and became convinced myself of them.

  12. God is Almighty, he can come when ever.he.wants to, according to the Bible, it does not say, year and month, of his coming, But, it does say that he will come for those who are waiting for him!!! And you should read these verses, Prov. 8:12-14 Through This hope you can understand, God Almighty’s Power! And, I will follow Heavily Mother too the End!

  13. Luisa Gutierrez

People always take things so literal. Our mission in the Church is not to proclaim the end of the world because scientists and historians already do a good job at that. We want to show people the way to have eternal life, the way to God. Anyways we shouldn’t worry about the date of when the world would come to an end, what good is that anyway if we don’t prepare for it regardless. It’s like waiting for someone who’s coming with a specific date and that date comes but the person doesn’t then you loose hope and forget all about it and when the person does show up some time later you are not prepared spiritually or mentally. Then the same goes for God if we wait for Him with a specific date in mind and He takes longer, then we will not be prepared the day He does really come and how scary would it be.

  14. Michael R

Every church in the world that reads the bible understands that one day the world will end, but so much focus and criticism on how Father Ahnsahnghong misinterpreted the date( which we see is untrue)but why not point out the fact that he restored all the the feast of God, (the 7 thunders) and brought the Seal Of God from the east in 1948 according to fig tree! The most important thing to me when I came to wmscog was and still is to this day that it is the only Church in the world that has the Passover of the New Covenant, which only God can bring.
