Christ Ahnsahnghong said the end was 2012? - The True WMSCOG
Christ Ahnsahnghong is a false prophet because He predicted the End of the World in 2012 and it didn’t happen.
So recently those who like to speak against the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong, are misleading people by claiming to have evidence of Christ Ahnsahnghong preaching about the end of the world taking place in 2012.
They do this by quoting a line in Christ Ahnsahnghong’s book entitled “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”:
“According to the prophecy, one day is to be interpreted as one year (Eze. 4:6, Nu. 14:34) Therefore, if we add 168 years to 1844 AD when Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in heaven, 2012 AD becomes the last day” — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”: Pg. 15
Like in the time of the disciples, there are things in the Bible and in the books of Christ Ahnsahnghong that are difficult to understand (2 Peter 3:16). I hope this gives you a little clarity on the matter.
Only the Author knows the intent and purpose of the writings.
Christ Ahnsahnghong made clear the purpose of the book: “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep” in the preface of the book.
The core content of this book is that salvation is not given according to whether we know the date of the end or not, but it is given to the people who know the truth of the New Covenant and obey it. Those who neither believe in the truth nor obey it, only caring about the date, consequently will fall away from the truth and will leave the church before that day comes, being tempted by Satan. But those who only believe in the truth of the new covenant and obey it, not caring about the date, will be saved regardless of whether that date is proved true or not. — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”: excerpt from the Preface
The ultimate goal of every Christian is to be saved and go to heaven. Christ Ahnsahnghong clearly said that those who know and follow the truth of the New Covenant will be saved. Not only in the preface, but even throughout the rest of the Book, Christ Ahnsahnghong emphasized the importance of not focusing on an “end of the world” date.
Salvation doesn’t depend on whether we know the date or not, but what matters is whether or not you take the new covenant of Jesus. Therefore, we shouldn’t think about if the date is correct or not. Rather, we should better study the bible with an earnest heart to find out if the truth we have is true or false. – “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep” page 7
Therefore, our salvation doesn’t depend on whether we know the date or the time, but only depends on whether you keep the covenant of life, the new covenant of the Passover. — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”: Pg. 27
2012 is not about the End of the World, but the Completion of the Heavenly Temple.
The truth is that Christ Ahnsahnghong never wrote about the year 2012 being the end of the world. Those who speak against the World Mission Society Church of God only quote one part of the book, to mislead people into thinking that the WMSCOG is a doomsday church.
Then what did Christ Ahnsahnghong write about the year 2012
From the next day of receiving the Ten Commandments, the construction of the temple started, and the Temple was completed in 168 days. Since fulfillment of this prophecy was to be done by Jesus, on the day of atonement on July 10th, 1844 AD according to the sacred calendar, Jesus went into the Most Holy Place in heaven. From that time on, it’s shown that the construction of the Heavenly Temple started, and in 168 years, the Heavenly Temple is to be completed. According to the prophecy, one day is to be interpreted as one year. (Eze 4:6; Nu 14:34) Therefore, if we add 168 years to 1844 AD when Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in heaven, then 2012 AD becomes the last day. But we cannot help but to think of the words that for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep” Pg. 15
As we see in the passage, what was started in 1844 and ends in 2012? It is the construction of the Heavenly Temple. No where in the passage does Christ Ahnsahnghong say, that 2012 was going to be the end of the world, judgement day.
The reason why we believe in God is not because of the end of the world, but because we want to repent and be saved. This is God’s will. For this reason the book: “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”, is focused on “repentance” and “salvation”. If you look at the book differently, you cannot understand it correctly, for you will be going against the intentions of the author.
If the WMSCOG believed the end of the World was 2012 why didn’t they proclaim it?
Many religions and churches have proclaimed to know the date of the end of the world, and you can agree that they go all out in making it known. They have public countdowns, they make billboards and banners, they are interviewed in TV and radio shows, etc…
My question is: if the World Mission Society Church of God really believed the end of the world was going to take place in 2012, why didn’t they do the same? I mean, we believe the Sabbath Day is the correct day to worship God, and we proclaim it boldly; we believe the Passover of the New Covenant is the way to eternal life, and we proclaim it boldly… If the end of the world being 2012 was one of our core beliefs, why wasn’t it proclaimed like everything else? Because the year 2012 was not being taught as the year the world would end in the World Mission Society Church of God.
Rumors will always surround the true Church
In the days of the early Church, the Romans persecuted the Christians without understanding the teachings of the Christian faith. They considered the Christians as cannibals who ate the flesh and drank the blood of dead bodies. The reason they did this is because they didn’t understand the New Covenant Passover in which Jesus promised His flesh and blood through the bread and wine (Mt 26:17-19, 26-28). The Romans did not understand that this was how Christ promised His people Eternal life (Jn 6:53-54).
In the same way, as it is today: without an official announcement from the headquarters of the World Mission Society Church of God, everything others say are just… well…rumors.
