Christ Ahnsahnghong said that the New Jerusalem is an actual place, not Heavenly Mother.

People who speak against the World Mission Society Church of God say that Christ Ahnsahnghong denies the existence of Heavenly Mother. In order to say this, they quote a line from a book that Christ Ahnsahnghong wrote entitled: “Explanation on the New Jerusalem and the Bride, and on Women’s Veil”. In this book, Christ Ahnsahnghong wrote a chapter entitled, The Heavenly New Jerusalem is an Actual Place.

In quoting this part of Christ Ahnsahnghong’s book, the author of the article is trying to mislead the readers into thinking that the World Mission Society Church of God made up the idea of God the Mother, and that Christ Ahnsahnghong contradicts the teachings of the World Mission Society Church of God.

It is incorrect to quote Christ Ahnsahnghong’s book against Um Soo In.

The first thing the reader must understand is that it is incorrect to use the book that Christ Ahnsahnghong wrote to judge the delusional actions of a woman, named Um Soo In, to make arguments against the existence of our Heavenly Mother.

The book in question was written to judge a false bride, Um Soo In, who proclaimed herself as the bride and was teaching all the Church members at the time that it was not necessary for women to wears veils during the time of worship.

After Christ Ahnsahnghong exposed the false bride, He himself testified and revealed our Heavenly Mother the New Jerusalem.

The Heavenly Jerusalem, an actual city existing in Heaven.

It is true that the heavenly Jerusalem itself is not a person, but a place. This fact is found not only in the book that is being misused, but also in one of the books of truth which Christ Ahnsahnghong left us.

However, does that mean that Heavenly Mother does not exist? No. The bride can only be symbolized as the Heavenly Jerusalem, only because the actual Heavenly Jerusalem exists. In another book Christ Ahnsahnghong wrote that the Last Adam and the Last Eve would appear as the Spirit and the Bride, and lead all mankind into salvation.

Then can an actual city come to this world and lead the people of God? Now that just would not make sense.

The Heavenly Jerusalem symbolizes Heavenly Mother

When you read the book of Revelation chapter 21 you can see that the heavenly Jerusalem is the bride, the wife of the Lamb:

Revelation 21:9-10 – One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

In the passage above the angel told the Apostle John that he was going to show him the bride of the Lamb, and he showed the Holy City Jerusalem coming down out of heaven. Now does this mean that an actual city is the Bride? If we think like this, then we must also insist that the Lamb being mentioned in the verse is an actual four legged animal! But is that the case? No. Every Christian knows that the Lamb being mentioned in the verse is Christ (John 1:29).

Then just like the Lamb being mentioned in the verse is not an animal, but it is just a symbol being used to represent Christ, in the same way the Holy City Jerusalem is a symbol being used to represent our Heavenly Mother.

Cities are usually named after someone

So to say that because there is an actual city named the New Jerusalem is evidence to heavenly Mother not existing, it would be like saying that since Victoria, London is a place that actually exists, Queen Victoria didn’t exist.

In reality Victoria, London was named after Queen Victoria and it is very common to find places named after individuals. In the Bible it happens all the time, look at the 12 sons of Jacob, most of the cities in Israel are named after them. Does that mean that they didn’t live? Clearly it does not mean that.

So when Christ Ahnsahnghong said that the Heavenly Jerusalem is an actual place, it does not deny the existence of our Heavenly Mother Jerusalem, for the only reason the place can exist, is because She exists.
