My Experience at a WMSCOG Bible Study

World Mission Society Church of God Answered My Questions with the Bible

Alexandria Lee is a member of the World Mission Society Church (WMSCOG), and she is sharing her experience of studying the Bible in the WMSCOG. In her video, Alex explains that having all her questions answered through the Bible allowed her to remain a member of the Church. In specific, she mentions the teaching about the Sabbath Day, and how she came to learn at a WMSCOG Bible study that the day to worship God is Saturday, not Sunday. The proper day to worship God was a topic of confusion for Alex growing up, and it was until she came to the WMSCOG that the confusion was clarified.

Here is what Alex had to say in her video:

Hi. I’m Alex and I am a member of the World Mission Society Church of God. I’m making this video to talk about my beliefs before coming to the Church, and also what the Church of God teaches.

I’ve always been curious and inquisitive, and I love learning. I know that sounds a little bit boring but it got me through four years at the University of Pennsylvania and Wharton’s business classes, so I think it’s OK. But when it came to God, I only had a vague idea of what to do as a believer, mainly because I grew up being exposed to many forms of Christianity that their contradictions clouded my understanding what to do to believe and also to follow God.

But it wasn’t until I came to the World Mission Society Church of God that something as basic as the day of worship was finally made clear to me. I studied about the Sabbath on my second visit to the Church of God, and I was able to see that the biblical day to worship God is Saturday — not Friday and definitely not Sunday. I also learned the Sabbaths’ connection to my salvation, how God created that for me to be blessed, for me to receive rest and also for me to be made holy. And that is all there just in the book of Genesis!

If you want to see and understand God come to the World Mission Society Church of God. When you do, you will find all the answers to your questions directly in the Bible, just like I did.

The Bible Is the Source of Influence in the WMSCOG

As we can see through Alex’s testimony, the Bible is the only reason why members join the WMSCOG. The reason they remain as members is because the Bible points to the World Mission Society Church of God as the Church that God Himself established, and all of God’s commandments are kept there.

Why don’t you attend a WMSCOG Bible study and see for yourself why Alexandria and so many others are proud to be part of this church.

I felt the same way! It’s amazing! So thankful to have come to the Church of God so I can stop looking for answers, since I’ve received them all through the bible at Gods Church.

I came for the same reason. It was actually really hard for me to leave everything I had grown up with but once I saw in the Bible that God said He is pleased with Saturday worship rather than Sunday, I had no choice but to follow. I am happy that now I follow the Bible rather than just traditions of men.

I am so thankful to have found the church which can amswer all my questions through the bible. Everything was made so clear to me from the very beginning.

  4. Jameel Bin Kaleem

Questions like that have always lingered in my mind concerning the bible and God in general, that no one has been able to give me a full proof answer. It’s until that I decided to finally come to the Church of God to study the bible that all of those questions recieved and answer! This is the place to truly understand God’s administration.

I agree Alex! As a child, I had so many questions about the bible and was not confident in my salvation. Over the years I began to think that there were no answers. It wasn’t until I came to the Church of God and had all my questions answered, and then some! Who would think something as simple as the sabbath would be mistaken my most people? Even though the bible clearly shows the sabbath is Saturday, people go on Sunday! Needless to say, I do not regret my decision to study the bible in the church of God. I have learned so much! I felt that the bible studies at the Church of God were tailored to my spirit! Thank you for sharing your story. All thanks to Elohim God!

When you talk about the Book of Revelation to Christians they all have similar fear unknown reaction to it. As to say “we cant even look at it”, in college i went around looking for a church wanting to learn the bible and become more connected to God but in my search i never found it– a church that could explain the mysteries of the bible. Until i was invited to the Church of God. One bible study at the Church of God i was able to realize myself and began to build a connection to God through the Sabbath day and the bible studies. And then i learn about Heavenly Mother!!! I once thought about the woman in Revelation that fights against the Dragon and there was on Service that revealed that that woman is Our HEAVENLY MOTHER!!

I completely agree with Alex’s experience at the Church of God! Although I grew up in church and my parents were leaders in the church, I felt like God was still so far from me and that I didn’t truly understand the words of the Bible. It wasn’t until I came to the Church of God that I came to fully understand the will of God and the true path to the kingdom of heaven! So thankful God brought me to this church!

So simple and basic yet so important! The Sabbath is a foundational truth that allows us to distinguish truth from falsehood, which church follows the Bible and which ones don’t. Thanks to Father and Mother!

I felted the same way before coming to the World Mission Society Church of God. I had a lot question that had never been answered. One of them was, “What is the correct day to worship God according to the Bible?” I’ve noticed Christians who believe in the same God kept different days of worship from one another claiming that it didn’t matter what day. Not until I studied about the correct day of worship through the Bible, which is the Sabbath Day, at the World Mission Society Church of God, was I able to understand the truth completely.

  13. Kim

I agree wholeheartedly! Shouldn’t a Christian church follow the examples of Jesus and the apostles taught directly by Him? Jesus kept the Sabbath and so did the early church. Many churches worship God based on their own opinion–disregarding the teachings of Christ. I am so happy to belong to the Church of God that keeps God’s commands.

As for me, before coming to the WMSCOG, I had been ignorant of spiritual things. Instead, I had the fear of death, vaguely. But now, I’m sure that I’m on my way to the kingdom of heaven. The truth of Elohim God made me go after spiritual things!

  15. Kim

    I agree wholeheartedly.

A church should follow the teachings of the Bible. Sabbath Day was one of my first studies too, and it really shocked me to see the history and learn the reasons why Christians are keeping Sunday worship instead of what God commanded. If anyone is hesitating to come to the Church of God based on hearsay, I hope that they can come soon to experience it for themselves.
