WMSCOG a Religious Group in South Korea

Where was the WMSCOG founded?

When browsing the web, I came across an article that questioned the beliefs of the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) due to the fact that it started in South Korea. It’s ironic, but when you look into the Bible, the same thing was done to Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago:

John 1:45-46 “Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’ ‘Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?’ Nathanael asked…”

As we see in the passage, even 2,000 years ago the people of Israel had a fixed concept about Nazareth and that made Nathanael judge and doubt the credibility of Jesus just because He was from there.

That is the same bias the article was trying to push on the reader regarding the WMSCOG and its founder. They even quote a Korean professor saying, “There are many gods and Jesus[es] in Korea.” This is true; there are many people in Korea who claim to be Second Coming Christ. Doesn’t that make you wonder why? I mean, South Korea is not even a historically Christian country – then why is this phenomena happening?

Imitations cannot exist without an authentic one

Well, let me answer that with an analogy: in today’s society, brand name items are very popular. You have brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, and so on. These brands are so popular and so expensive that many imitations appear in the market. Now let me ask you a question: without a real Chanel bag, can there be imitations? Or if I say I have an imitation of a Louis Vuitton wallet, is that possible without a real Louis Vuitton wallet existing? No, that would be impossible.

Now why do so many people who claim to be Second Coming Christ appear in South Korea? The answer is simple: because the real Second Coming Christ must come from there. Let’s see:

Hebrews 9:28 “So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

According to the Bible, Second Coming Christ must appear in the last days and bring salvation. Salvation literally means to save someone from harm. Then where does the salvation work start from in the last days?

Revelation 7:1-3 “After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: ‘Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.’”

Before the great disaster comes on the last day according to the Bible prophecy, the work of salvation must start from the east. The original language of the Bible’s New Testament, which is Greek, communicates the same directional point: “…from the rising of the sun…”

Now the question is, who is the savior from the east? And where is the east according to the Bible? That’s a topic for another discussion…

This is so true, the Bible prophecise that Christ will need to come a 2nd time to bring salvation, meaning that there will be no salvation on this earth when He comes. He came 2000 years ago and showed His disciples the way to save those at that time. Which means between then and now something must have happened to the truths of salvation that Christ taught. For when second coming Christ comes He will need to bring salvation to this earth because the way to salvation has been forgotten and lost. Then what will He bring to save us? John 6:53 states we must eat Christ flesh and drink His blood to be saved, to have salvation. Then how can we? Matthew 26:17, 26-28 Through the Passover. So then we can recognize 2nd coming Christ through the Passover, but the one who came from the east with the Passover was Christ Ahnsahnghong, then according to the scriptures He is the one to come.

I can’t believe how some people can honestly give serious consideration to laughable arguments such as “Because many people claim to be Jesus, Christ Ahnsahnghong cannot be God.” when it comes to finding the truth. Even if everyone in the world claimed to be Jesus when Christ returned, would that change the fact that he came? If anything it would just make it all the more wonderful to find the true God among so many false gods,so many imposters. It’s like being separated from your parents at birth but always having hope to find them. Then when a line up is brought in of all the people claiming that you are their child, you instantly recognize your true parents and are reunited with them.
In a world full of lies and deception, how great is it to know that you are protected by God.

Well said. If we stop trying to force the bible to conform to our misguided perception, one that’s based majorly on the biased opinions of others, and study God’s Word as it is (Rev 22:18) it makes perfect sense that God’s church would be established in S.Korea in this generation. The bible already spoke about it long ago, and just as every other prediction in the bible has come true, the prophecy of God coming from the East (Korea) and establishing his church has been fulfilled as well. I hope more people will study the bible without pre-judging the word of God. The reward for them could be Heaven

Although this article is brief, it hit so many points that explain why Second Coming Christ is to come from Korea. It seems that people can accept the fact that Christ is to come but have a hard time dealing with the specific region of the world. “Why not Europe?” “Why not Africa?” “Why not South America?” Because the Bible says something else…the Bible says something completely different than our conceptions with where in the world Christ is to appear. Revelation 7:1-3 lets us know that it is from the east.

2,000 years ago, the fact that Jesus was from Nazareth was such a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people because they thought so lowly of it. Today, we see many “christs” coming from Korea, but why? The analogy of designer vs. generic/knock-off bags makes it so transparent. If there were no truth in Christ coming from Korea, those imposing as Christ would not come from there either. I enjoyed this article because it affirms my knowledge and faith in Christ Ahnsahnghong, the original (and only) Second Coming Christ.

Many ask how is it possible that the second coming Christ came from South Korea? well a linked bible verse may help out i we take a look at the prophecy we can find the answer. the book of Revelations was written from Patmos Island Revelations 1:9 if we follow the trail from here to Revelation 7:1-3 then i saw another angel coming up from the east having the seal of the living God. what is the furthest land mass east of what was known as Patmos Island? Korea. if you wish to learn more and believe in our heavenly Father and Mother visit your nearest WMSCOG.

By reading this it is clear that many Christians have a closed physical view about Christ. Our God spoke to us in parables for a reason, so things not known before will be clear for us now. It’s very clear that though God( second coming) came from the east(South Korea) a place where not much believed in Christianity also happened in the days of Jesus where people even doubted that he was the Christ when he came from an impossible place such as Nazareth. As we know everything God does is for a reason and no matter where it takes place it will be fulfilled through his words.

This article is great. Being bias will only lead anyone away from the truth. Just as Jesus was looked down upon because of where he was from in the same way Father Ahnsahnhong was looked down. How about we all focus on the fulfillment of prophecy. First coming Christ fulfilled the scriptures and so did second coming Christ. Father brought the Passover which grants us eternal life. Let’s rejoice and be glad.

I loved this article, it makes perfect sense that of course falsehood pops up wherever the truth is, to place confusion and try to disrupt God’s plan. However, it is undeniable once you take one look at Bible prophecy. From a third person standpoint, of course I can see why people who have not taken the time to see or understand the written prophecies to testify to second coming Christ would reject it. However, skeptics need proof, so before rejecting, why not see it for yourself?

Regarding the designer handbag analogy… how could someone tell between a really well-done knockoff bag from an authentic? That person would
Know the small details and the signs that they could spot with their eyes when examining the bag whether it’s a knockoff or the real deal. (Exactly what the logo looks like, the stitching, the tag, the material, etc) even sometimes you have to look really really close. All those knockoffs may even cause someone to see a woman carrying the real thing and say “no that’s just a knockoff like all the others”! In that very same way, we can see with our spiritual eyes to determine that second coming Christ is in fact the true Savior according to all those signs and details testified in the Bible. ONLY after seeing that can we make an educated decision whether or not we believe. I hope anyone who denies Second Coming Christ and our Heavenly Mother as the true Savior will have the chance to see and understand why exactly with conviction we can say at the Church of God that we have salvation through our true Savior!!! Thanks to God !!!
