Ahnsahnghong or Armstrong, Who Restored the Passover First

Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover of the New covenant, not Herber W. Armstrong

Is Ahnsahnghong the Christ, even though Herbert W. Armstrong came first?

 

Friend: What makes you think Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ?

Me: Because he restored the Passover of the New Covenant, which was not being kept since 325 A.D.

Friend: You are wrong, before Ahnsahnghong came, the Worldwide Church of God established by Herbert W. Armstrong was already keeping the Passover. That means that based on what you are saying, that would make Armstrong the Second Coming of Christ.

This is the conversation I had with a friend the other day as I preached to him about Christ Ahnsahnghong, the Second Coming of Christ. Now, this is not the first time I have heard this. I know that those who speak against the Church of God make the same insistence as my friend. For this reason, I am writing this article to discuss this matter.

 

Why is restoring the Passover significant to identify Second Coming Christ?

One of the many prophecies about Christ’s second coming may be found in the book of Hebrews and it states as follows:

 

Hebrews 9:28 — “…so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

 

As stated in the prophecy above, Second Coming Christ will appear to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. This means that whoever brings salvation, He is Second Coming Christ.

Then, we must know the definition of salvation according to the Bible?

 

Luke 1:77 — “…to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,”

 

According to the Bible, salvation is receiving the forgiveness of sins. We understand that only God can give us salvation, since it is only God who can forgive our sins (Mark 2:7). This means that God left us a sign to recognize Him at His second coming. That sign is to bring the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sins!

 

Celebrate the Passover of the New Covenant to receive the forgiveness of sins.

When you study the Bible you can see that the only way to receive the forgiveness of sins is through the blood of Christ (Eph 1:7). That is why you may often hear Christians say, “I am saved through the blood of Christ”. What many of these Christians do not understand is that we can only receive the blood of Christ through celebrating the New Covenant Passover.

 

Matthew 26:17-28 — “… So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover… While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take and eat; this is my body.’ Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.‘”

 

The only night that Jesus promised us the forgiveness of sins through His blood was on the Passover night. Thus, when we celebrate the Passover, we are accepting God’s covenant,or promise, for the forgiveness of sins.

As the Bible describes, salvation is to receive the knowledge of the forgiveness of sins; and forgiveness of sins is obtained when we celebrate the Passover. In this way, we understand that celebrating the Passover gives us salvation.

 

Forgiveness of Sins = Eternal Life.

According to the Bible, the wage of sins is death (Ro. 6:23). This means that if we receive the forgiveness of sins, then we also overcome death. For this reason, we may also understand that celebrating the Passover allows us to receive eternal life. This is something that Jesus taught as well.

 

John 6:53-54 — “Jesus said to them, ‘I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day…'”

 

When we celebrate the Passover, we eat the body of Christ and drink His blood (Lk 22:19-20; 1 Cor. 10:16). For this reason, we may say that the Passover gives us eternal life.

 

Armstrong did not restore the Passover of the New Covenant.

The dictionary defines the word “restore” as follows:

 

Restore: to bring back (a previous right, practice, custom, or situation); to reinstate.

 

We cannot say that Armstrong restored the Passover, because Armstrong did not teach the Passover for the same reasons that Jesus did. Jesus taught that the Passover gives forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Armstrong only taught the Passover as a law, since he read it in the book of Leviticus, and not explaining the meaning of celebrating the Passover.

Other theologians of the world, know that the Passover is kept once a year, and that the bread and wine represent Jesus’ flesh and blood. However, it was only Christ Ahnsahnghong who taught and emphasized to us the importance of the Passover, to receive God’s promise of eternal life and forgiveness of sins. That is why it is only Christ Ahnsahnghong who restored the Passover, the way of salvation, and thus He fulfills the prophecy of Hebrews 9:28.

 

Armstrong is far from the prophecies about the Second Coming Christ.

Christ Ahnsahnghong is Jesus who came a second time and there is much more evidence in addition to the restoration of the Passover of the New Covenant. The one who fulfilled all the prophecies of the Bible is Christ Ahnsahnghong. That’s why the World Mission Society Church of God proclaims to the world that Christ Ahnsahnghong is Jesus who has come a second time.

Please understand that we confidently believe Christ Ahnsahnghong is the second coming of Christ because of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy and His restoration of the Passover is one of many signs to recognize He is God. As I will explain below, when we take a look at more and more prophecies about the second coming of Christ, it becomes clearer that Armstrong has nothing to do with Christ. The prophecies about Second Coming Christ are all fulfilled by Christ Ahnsahnghong. Below are just two examples of prophecies about the second coming of Christ, which were fulfilled by Christ Ahnsahnghong and not by Armstrong.

 

1. Christ must appear and be baptized when the fig tree blossoms again. 

According to the prophecy of the fig tree, Second Coming Christ has to appear in 1948 when the nation of Israel was rebuilt. However, Armstrong was baptized in 1927 and became a minister in 1931. In other words, he started his ministry before 1948. Armstrong did not fulfill the prophecy of the fig tree.

2. Christ must appear from east with the Seal of God.

According to Revelation 7:1-3, the Second Coming Christ must bring the seal of God right after 1945 when World War 2 ended. He must also appear from the east of the island of Patmos on the outskirts of the nation Greece. According to Rev 1:9, John was on the island of Patmos when he saw the Savior coming from the east, and He must teach the Passover is the seal of God which protects us from the last disaster.

However, Armstrong began his ministry “before 1945” and he appeared in the west (United States). Armstrong never taught that the Passover is the seal of God, which protects us from the last disaster. Therefore, Armstrong is far from the fulfillment of the prophecies of Second Coming Christ as identified in the Bible.

 

Herbert W. Armstrong did not restore the Passover, Christ Ahnsahnghong did

Short History of Herbert Armstrong and his church. 

  • 1892: Born in a Quaker Family. Kept Sunday service regularly
  • 1924: Moved to Eugene, Oregon. Later, his wife converted to one of the branches of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, which did not acknowledge the authority of Ellen G. White. Also, Armstrong insisted that God the Father and God the Son are different just as Jehovah’s Witnesses’ claim, and that the Holy Spirit is not an entity with human characteristics. Similar to the Mormon doctrine, he insisted that the Native Americans are one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. Armstrong argued that the people from England — the English people who crossed to the new continent, including Americans — are the direct lineal descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. His wife began to preach to him about the Sabbath, and from this point on, Armstrong began to study the Bible and had the conviction that the Sabbath is true.
  • 1927: Armstrong was baptized (at the age of 35)
  • 1931: Became a minister in the Church
  • 1934: Established the Radio Church of God through a radio broadcast
  • 1968: Renamed the Church to the Worldwide Church of God
  • 1970s: The church was divided into different smaller sects
  • 1986: Armstrong died (He worked as a minister for 55 years, and 59 years from the time of his baptism)

 

After reviewing that brief history and studying about the prophecies about Second Coming Christ, you will be able to see many points why Herbert W. Armstrong is not the second coming of Christ. Furthermore, the Passover he taught was not the restoration of the Passover that Jesus preached and celebrated with the Apostles.

In these days, it is only Christ Ahnsahnghong who fulfilled all the Bible prophecies about the Second Coming Christ, including the prophecy about the restoration of the Passover of the New Covenant.     I give thanks to God for giving us a clear sign to recognize him when he comes to the earth. Among 7billiom people we would never be able to recognize Him but he’s made it clear through the Passover for us to come to Him This article is just further testimony about Christ Ahnsahnghong being the true Second Coming Christ and our savior in this age. Armstrong like many others can read the Bible but without any understanding, hence why he never mentioned the blessing tied to the Passover. Only God can reveal His plan and Father Ahnsahngsong has done this for us. I give thanks to Elohim for Their grace!

    What a very interesting topic. This posting is in a way` inspiring. The fact that a man, (Armstrong), taught the law Passover but did not emphasize the magnitude of it’s value` shows me all the more that it is only God who can truly teach the Bible. Although a man taught the Passover, he did not teach the meaning` of the Passover, because like every other man, it is only a law. We know however, that the Bible does speak of mysteries, much of which man cannot grasp. This is because man does not have the authority to reveal what God has kept hidden. Ahnsahnghong, the true King` revealed to me that by receiving the Flesh and Blood of Christ through the Passover my sins are forgiven therefore swallowing up death forever. This absolute teaching gave me the hope for the everlasting life that Jesus spoke of 2,000 years ago. Isn’t this the true love of God, to teach the way of life and how the love of Christ penetrates our hearts when we keep the Passover Feast? The Passover Feast is not only the law of life but too` where the love of God can be found. Thus, through this posting, I realize all the more, that Ahnsahnghong’s teaching of the Passover is to give mankind the love of God.

    Also, just to point this out. Armstrong insisted that Jehovah and Jesus are different, yet the Bible teaches different, They are One and the same. More so, it was his wife that taught him about the Sabbath. Hence, my point is, he is not the 2nd Coming or God for this and for every so many reasons. On the other hand, Ahnsahnghong explicate’s the Trinity in accordance to the bible and too taught about the Sabbath Day’s observance respectively.

    I sincerely hope that the people who genuinely want to follow Christ in this age will gain the inspired interest to come visit the Church of God and discover the love behind the teachings of Ahnsahnghong Whom truly is the 2nd Coming.

    When I first heard of Christ Ahnshanghong, I didn’t understand how he out of everyone in this world is the second coming of Christ and naturally wanted to reject the idea, thinking, “Anyone can teach Passover, does that mean he’s second coming Christ?” But I said to myself, what if he is? So I began to study every single prophecy in the bible at the Church of God, and saw for myself, in the bible Christ Ahnshanghong is truly without a doubt our God since eternity.
    Of course from the outside point of view, who could believe? That’s why we should set aside our own ideas and thoughts about who God is and what His will is and come and study the bible for ourselves. If it’s the truth, you’ll find no fault, you’ll only find what you’ve been looking for, which is Christ and Their
    love. Among the many prophecies that Christ Ahnsahnghong fulfilled, the one that separates him from the false Christs is that he revealed to us our Heavenly Mother. He faces us the reality to the New covenant Passover which is the source of life, our Mother. Christ Ahnshanghong is the true Second Coming Christ. Please come and see for yourself.

The way for us to know is through the Scriptures and the infallible prophecies which only God can fulfill when He comes to this earth a second time.     Wow, it’s astonishing how accurate and perfect the prophecies, to show us the second coming Christ are. Even though we try to doubt and find fault in the prophecies, truth is truth. I hope people can come to their senses and admit who God really is.

    In studying about Christ Ahnsahnghong, what amazes me most is how accurately he fulfilled all the bible prophecies. Not just one, but from every angle whether old or new testament, Christ Ahnsahnghong is the one who whom the bible testifies to. Although at first one may be skeptical, when seeing the overwhelming biblical proof that Christ has indeed appeared a second time and revealed all mysteries, including the Passover, it is only natural that our faith grows. I have never understood the bible so clearly since I’ve joined the Church of God and I am forever thankful to Christ Ahnsahnghong for emphasizing such truths because they are directly linked to our salvation. While some may not fully grasp or understand, when our faith is solely based on the words of the bible, The glory and divinity of Christ Ahnsahnghong can be clearly seen.

    Just like what is said in the article above, Armstrong started his minisrty way before the Independence of Israel. According to the fig tree lesson Christ must appear when Israel receieve their independence. Also Armstrong, came to believe in the Sabbath day because of his wife. If his wife didn’t join the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Armstrong would have never knew about the Sabbath day Saturday and would have kept attending Sunday worship. Christ will never appear from a Church that keeps Sunday service, so that alone proves that Armstrong can never be the Second Coming Christ.

I hope everyone sees that Christ Ahnsahnghong has fulfilled all the prophecies in the Bible.     This article is truly amazing. How clear! I’m actually very thankful Father & Mother allowed such a false prophet to exist, because it demonstrates God’s true LOVE in the Passover. If we receive the Passover, but don’t see the Passover as the truly merciful gift of forgiveness that it is–from the Parents –we are merely stone-hearted law-keepers, mortally orphaned in the vast multiverse. But Our Father and Our Mother mercifully opened not only our eyes, but our hearts, to the love of the Passover of the New Covenant.

    Additionally, no servant of Satan can pretend to “fulfill” more than one prophecy at a time (they’re merely three-dimensional men, after all–with the spirit of the Anti-Christ, on top of that!). Christ Ahnsahnghong’s entire life (AND death) was dedicated to the fulfillment of prophecy, for the sake of His children.

    Not only was Armstrong’s baptism in the wrong year, he was the wrong AGE to fulfill even the first step to the throne of King David–what about preaching for 37 years, then dying? The prophecy of Christ reigning on the throne of King David is truly a fulfillment that no human can replicate. AND Christ Ahnsahnghong brought the Passover to forgive our sins? AND came in the order of Melchizedek? AND fulfilled the prophecies of King Cyrus and Elijah? AND came from the East, after WWII, reminding us of everything Jesus taught?

    SURELY, He is our God.

    If I had not been allowed to study at the WMSCOG, and see the prophecies He fulfilled (down to the last detail) for myself, there is no way I could have understood salvation with my own mind. Now, I see how intricate, how deep, and how perfect God’s sacrifice has been to this day, just so the children would come home.

    Please, if anyone reading this has any question or doubt in their mind that Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother Jerusalem are God Almighty, visit your nearest Church of God with an open heart as soon as you can.

    It is very easy to understand that Armstrong is not Second Coming Christ. The Bible says that when Christ comes a second time, He will bring salvation, which is the knowledge of the forgiveness of sins. Jesus clearly made known to us that it is the New Covenant Passover that gives us the forgiveness of sins. Christ Ahnsahnghong also taught the same thing from the very beginning of His ministry. Armstrong didn’t. Instead, Armstrong’s teachings were comprised of many other doctrines outside of the Bible.

    The book of Revelation gives a clear indication as to where the salvation work of the Passover will begin as well. The salvation work must begin in the east as the prophecies tell us. Armstrong was born in the United States, conducting his ministry in the west, not in the east. This automatically disqualifies Armstrong from the conversation of being the Savior who brought the Passover.

    Jesus warned about false Christs and false prophets appearing in the last days, who would try to deceive people from receiving the truth. In order to discern them, it’s quite simple – check whether or not they are following the law of God AND fulfilling Bible prophecy. If not, then you can be sure they are false Christs and/or false prophets. Please don’t be deceived and visit the World Mission Society Church of God as soon as possible to learn more.

    Armstrongs Passover had no promise. However, Christ Ahnsahnghong, who re-established the Passover, had a promise. And that is to give eternal life through it. Let’s give thanks to our Heavenly Father and Mother for allowing us to receive eternal life!

    In Isaiah 25:6-9 the Bible lets us know that the one who swallows up death forever, through the “banquet of aged wine” (the New Covenant Passover) is God Almighty! To the one who restores the Passover we can say…

    “Surely this is our God;
    we trusted in him, and he saved us.
    This is the LORD, we trusted in him;
    let us rejoice and be glad in his
    salvation.”

      Great comment Kim. I couldn’t agree with you more. Armstrong did not teach that the Passover swallows up death forever. Therefore he did not appear according to the prophecies of the Bible.
