Christ Ahnsahnghong cannot be Christ because He died

Man is confused regarding questions about Christ Ahnsahnghong

According to Romans 6:9 Christ Ahnsahnghong is not Christ

One of the favorite verses in the Bible of those who speak against the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong is Romans chapter 6 verse 9.

Romans 6:9 – For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

They quote this verse and say: “The Bible says that Jesus cannot die again after His death on the cross. But Christ Ahnsahnghong died so He cannot be Christ.”

I see It looks like they have a point … hmmmmm…. Not really!

According to Isaiah 43:11 Jesus is a false prophet

2,000 years ago when God came in the flesh for the first time, the only Scriptures that existed were the scriptures of the Old Testament – from Genesis to Malachi — and in those scriptures, you could find the following verse in the Book of Isaiah:

Isaiah 43:11 – I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no savior. – ASV—

Using this verse alone, many people could have easily rejected Jesus as the Savior, solely on the basis of that one verse. They could have easily said: “Since it is written in Isaiah 43:11 that there is no other Savior except God Jehovah, then Jesus of Nazareth is a false Messiah.”

But thankfully the Bible is not just one verse. If we analyze many other prophecies in other passages of the Old Testament, and their fulfillment in Jesus Christ, we can realize that Jesus is the Messiah and He doesn’t contradict Isaiah 43:11. The reason why proclaiming Jesus as the savior does not contradict Isaiah 43:11 is that the book of Isaiah was written before Jesus was born, and of course, at that time, the only Savior was Jehovah God, so it is quite natural that Isaiah 43:11 is written in that way.

It is the same way with Romans 6:9 and Christ Ahnsahnghong.

Romans 6:9 does not deny Christ Ahnsahnghong as the Savior

Then what is the correct meaning of Romans 6:9? This verse does not mean that Jesus cannot die again regardless of the situation. If we examine the contents from the beginning of the chapter, we can understand what the verse is talking about.

Romans 6:3-4 – Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

As we can see, the verse is making a comparison of the life that Jesus lived – His death and resurrection—and how we who participate in His life will receive the same benefits. Let’s continue:

Romans 6:5-9If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection… Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

What Apostle Paul is trying to explain in chapter 6 of the book of Romans is that since Jesus was resurrected, He will not die again. In other words, Jesus who was resurrected from the dead will live eternally. This was written to let us understand that Jesus showed His resurrection beforehand to demonstrate to us how we will be resurrected.

Everything Christ did was an example of what will happen to those who follow in His footsteps

Everything Jesus Christ did was an example for us who follow in His footsteps. (1 Peter 2:21)

• We receive baptism as Christians because Jesus was baptized. (Luke 3:21)

• We keep the Sabbath Day because Jesus kept it. (Luke 4:16)

• We keep the Passover of the New Covenant because Jesus kept it. (Luke 22:13-15)

• We preach the gospel because Jesus preached it. (Luke 4:43)

Therefore, if we follow faithfully in the example of Christ, we have the hope to be resurrected and will not die again.

When we examine all the verses in the Bible, which testify to our resurrection, consistently, we can see that all the verses place emphasis on the fact that we will not die again.

Luke 20:35-36 – “But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.”

1 Corinthians 15:54 – When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

The Bible also testifies that the kingdom of heaven where we will go after we are resurrected is a place without death!

Revelation 21:4 – “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

This is something Apostle Paul understood and was trying to explain to the Romans in his letter. Christ did not just die, but He was resurrected and lives eternally in Heaven. For this reason, we can have faith that if we follow His example, we too will be resurrected and live eternally in heaven.

Romans 6:5 – If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.

Therefore, isn’t it quite natural to say that Jesus, who resurrected, cannot die again and that death can no longer rule over Him?

So Romans 6:9 testifies to the state of resurrection and has nothing to do with either Jesus’ second coming in the flesh or His death.

What happens if Jesus, who stayed in an immortal spiritual body, came again in the flesh?

Since He came in the flesh, not in the resurrected spiritual body, He can die as much as He wants to and it would not violate Romans 6:9 at all.

Therefore, it is wrong to deny the Second Coming Jesus by distorting the meaning of the words in Romans 6:9.

Christ does everything according to prophecy

Some skeptics might say: “Well, Jesus resurrected after His crucifixion and that is why we believe that He is the Savior. However Christ Ahnsahnghong did not resurrect after His death. Therefore, He is not the Savior.”

For those who think like this, let me clarify one thing: The only reason the resurrection of Jesus took place was to fulfill  Bible prophecy:

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 – For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…

Jesus resurrected according to the Scriptures. With this in mind:

Can you show one verse in the Bible where it says that Second Coming Christ has to resurrect? There isn’t.

However, there are many prophecies that do show that Second Coming Christ has to pass away, which you can learn at your nearest World Mission Society Church of God.

We cannot listen to those that do not know nor understand the bible. Can a blind man lead a blind man? No! When it concerns God Almighty and our Salvation there is only one reference, the Bible. The Bible does testify that Christ will not die again but it is clearly speaking about first coming Christ. But He must appear a second time to fulfill all the remaining prophecies. One of the prophecies is the prophecy of King David. When first coming Christ came He fulfilled 3 years, Christ Ahnsahnghong fulfilled the remaining 37. What happened to King David after his 40-year reign, did he retire? 1 Kings 2:10-12 Then David rested with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David. He had reigned forty years over Israel—seven years in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem. So Solomon sat on the throne of his father David, and his rule was firmly established. King David died. In order for Christ Ahnsahnghong to fulfill this prophecy He must die as well. If we want to know about God please study the Bible because it is the only way for us to have accurate information about God.

It’s so shameful how those who do not want to believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong find the smallest verses in the bible to try and prove him as a false Christ. When the bible is studied in its full context then it makes perfect sense. Without studying about Jesus and understanding him it is very difficult to believe that he was God in the flesh, but when we study all the prophecies about him in depth then you cannot deny the fact that he was the Savior. The prophecies about Christ Ahnsahnghong are even more in depth then those of his first coming. When I studied the prophecy about King David it made perfect sense to me why he had to die. Actually his death allowed me to believe even more that he is God because he had to preach for 37 years and then go back to the Kingdom of Heaven. (Oh and by the way God can never die so he is not dead he simply just went back to Heaven)

Father truly wants the children to believe in the heavenly country they will inherit and enter so he fulfills his promise of prophesy and allows us to base our faith on facts not opinions or theologies but true acts that are done with our salvation in mind . There is a reason for everything Father does there is nothing that he does with out a purpose or letting his children know if Father passed in his second coming there is a prophesy that testifies why so that we may enter without a doubt …we should be guided by the full contents of the bible not opinions based on emotions rather the love that is based on facts .

  4. Allora

Only God speaks prophecies and only God fulfills prophecies. (Isai 46: 10) “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times and what is still to come. I say, ‘my purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” When we read the entire context of Romans 6:9 we can see with our spiritual eyes that Jesus was fulfilling the prophecy of resurrecting after His death, and so if Jesus resurrects than we have the hope to resurrect, that is amazing! The prophecies of First Coming Christ pertain to First Coming Christ and the prophecies of Second Coming Christ pertain to Second Coming Christ, why? Because that is God’s will. (Heb 9:28) “Christ was sacrificed once to take the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” Christ testifies that His purpose at His Second Coming is to fulfill completely different prophecies.

Christ Ahnsahnghong does not have to fulfill resurrection for the children to resurrect, He already accomplished this when He came as Jesus, faced death, and then resurrected. Please come and study the scriptures thoroughly at The World Mission Society church of God, you will confirm for yourself that Christ Ahnsahnghong’s death was already prophesied to happen. Please come and study it will save your life.

Brilliant reply. I would just be happy to add something to this:

“Christ Ahnsahnghong does not have to fulfill resurrection for the children to resurrect, He already accomplished this when He came as Jesus, faced death, and then resurrected.”

Very true. However, some people who speak against the Church of God do not say that Church of God teaching is false because Christ was supposed to be resurrected at his Second Coming. Instead, they say that since Christ was already resurrected once and thus He cannot die again at His Second Coming.

However, there are contradictions arising from this claim. Contradictions are apparent if you look at the very verse which people who say this use as a proof of validity of their claim, and if you realize that Father and Son are one and the same – or in other words, if you realize that Jehova and Jesus are the same being, that their souls or spiritual bodies are identical (altough their physical manifestation differs) – proof of this has been given in another comment to this article, respectively in the comment by “The True WMSCOG” which was a reply to “edwinpsr”.

So, based on mentioned Romans verse and based on mentioned comment, let’s explore the contradictions which would arise if this claim was confronted with them.

Romans 6:9 – “For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.” Since Jesus – in the same way as any other human – consisted of soul and flesh – or physical body and spiritual body – then there are two possible interpretations of this verse. Interpretation which I believe to be correct is that this verse refers to resurrection of that particular physical body of Christ. If this interpretation is correct, then it is wrong to say that this verse refers to resurrection of any other physical body of Christ. In other words, it is wrong to say that this verse says that any other physical body of Christ cannot die. This is apparent. So the only thing that remains to be proven is that this is the only possible interpretation of the verse. The fact that this is the only correct interpretation of the verse can be proven by assuming that the other interpretation (resurrection of spiritual body of Christ) is correct. If this other interpretation would be correct, it would have to mean that spiritual body of Christ died at least once (for if his spiritual body did not die, how could it possibly be resurrected?). If we realize that spiritual body/soul/”true identity” of Jesus and Jehova – or in other words, true identity/soul of God the Son and God the Father is the same – then it would have to mean that SOUL OF GOD DIED, AND HAS BEEN RESURRECTED. How could God spiritually die and be resurrected? That is not possible. For the one who resurrected Jesus’ body was God the Father – or in other words, God the Son. Why? Because they are the same. Thus how could God resurrect himself, if what died at the cross was his soul – or God himself – and not just the body of that particular incarnation of God? Thus it becomes apparent that the verse is talking specifically about the resurrection of the body of Jesus. And if the verse says that what was resurrected was Jesus’ body, it also says that what cannot die again is Jesus’ body. Thus it DOES NOT SAY that the body in which Christ – or God – descends to Earth on His Second Coming cannot die again, in the same way as Jesus’ body died. Amen.

Nowadays people will always find a way to distort the truth of God. Saying that Christ Ahnsahnghong is not God because he died by using Romans 6:9 shows how people do not know the prophecies. While reading the article, Hosea 4:6 ” my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge….” came to my mind.

2,000 years ago Christ came as a son to show us how we should act as children of God. Showing us how to keep the laws of God and nowadays we follow his example. But he also showed us that once we are resurrected , death will no longer be a master over our spirit and we can live forever. Even tho Christ showed us the truth, the pharisees and teachers of the law at that time continuously said that he was not the Christ because it was not to their standards or teachings, but it doesn’t mean that he is not Christ.

Many christian who say they know Jesus Christ should also understand the true interpretation of Romans 6:9, which is not speaking about Second Coming Christ. Christ Ahnsahnghong came to bring us salvation and remind us of all the teachings that will lead us to the kingdom of heaven. But not one prophecy in the bible testified that Second Coming Christ , Christ Ahnsahnghong should not die. I am thankful that I am able to understand & believe in the True Savior that fulfills all prophecies.

Many people who want to deny Christ Ahnsahnghong being the Christ think they have something when they use this verse. But if we just read before, we will understand what this verse is talking about…not only that but if you study the prophecies about Christ’s 2nd coming and King David, you will see that he MUST pass away at this 2nd coming. Because people don’t want to believe they look for anything they can to deny, however it makes them look more foolish and even more pitiful because they don’t correctly understand the verse. Its like, “good try but…nope, sorry it doesn’t work…” You wont prove the truth false, you cant, you will only find yourself fighting against God….

  7. Ruby

I believe Christ Ahnsahnghong for the Fact that He died, if he did not die then the bible would make no sense, for all the prophecies have to be fulfilled 100%, and if we read completely the context of the text we see that because God resurrected he can not die again, but that verse is not talking about his second coming.

  8. Aaron

If Christ is prophesied to come back to the earth before the destruction and deliver salvation. Then when He returns to Heaven his flesh cannot return with Him. The only thing Christ could have done was die physically, it only makes sense if you are going to return to the spiritual world. Anyways, it seems like a simple concept to me. Honestly, to deny Christ Ahnsahnghong because he died is hypocritical for those who accept Jesus. Because 2,000 years ago Christ died for the same reason He did in this age, Because of prophecy. If we continue to study with an open mind we can see Christ Ahnsahnghong is testified in the Bible.

  9. Cameron

This is another amazing truth in the bible where the flesh and the spirit have to be separated to understand correctly. First of all, the explanation in the column above is outstanding. Secondly, what we have hope for in this verse, Romans 6:9, is completely escaping the second death, which is the destruction of the soul in the lake of burning sulfur. However, that hope vanished from mankind after the papacy changed God’s set times and laws. During the Dark Ages, all hope was gone. But why do we have hope now? …Because Christ Ahnsahnghong completely restored all the truths of the New Covenant thus bringing salvation. So you see, He is indeed Second Coming Jesus, because the Bible plainly says that the only One who can bring salvation is God when He comes a second time with a new Name. He has come as Christ Ahnsahnghong!

  10. Ivan

Truly history repeats itself (Ecc 1:9 “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”). Just as the religious leaders that existed 2,000 years ago looked for reasons to deny the prophecies of God coming in the flesh as Jesus, people today invent ways to deny the second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong though this is product of their own ideas and not the true facts in the bible.

2,000 years ago the religious leaders made up false testimonies against Jesus (Mk 14:56-57), they tried to manipulate the words of Christ to trap him (Mat 22:18), and they distorted the truth to justify themselves and continue to follow their own traditions rather than God’s ways (Mk 7:8). Can you see the same pattern here? It is the same as 2,000 years ago isn’t it? Did their false statements or manipulation of scriptures result in any truth? No, it all crumbled down when the true factual interpretation was brought forth (Jesus was indeed the Christ).

Furthermore, Rom 6:9 as stated in the article is concerning Christ resurrecting from the dead not about his death if he comes again as people suggest. It is also concerning giving us the hope for resurrection and eternal life upon baptism and not about the second coming Christ himself. Seeing this, it is not surprising that today people are also making up false testimonies against second coming Christ and are manipulating the words of the bible to deny that Jesus has come a second time as Christ Ahnsahnghong. Do these statements or manipulation of scripture result in any truth? No, once again it all crumbles down when the true biblical facts are presented. As the bible contains the words of God and also it is the way to find out about all matters of our spiritual endeavors (even the way to recognize Christ himself when he appears) I ask you to please take the time to see the prophecies written there so that you can be convinced that Christ Ahnsahnghong is indeed the second coming Jesus. However, If any questions arise about the prophecies of Christ Ahnsahnghong being Christ then I invite you to please visit one of our church establishments so that you can see the scriptures for yourself and make a better conclusion after you see all prophecies and its fulfillment with your own eyes.

  11. Leanne

The Word of God is truly perfect. It’s scary how much Satan has used Gods word to change and turn our hearts away. Even from the time of Genesis when he added just one word, which is why in the book of Revelation God gave us warning. (Rev 22:18) so let us not add or take away.

According to prophecy Christ Ahnsahnghong will surely die. Micah 4:1-9. This being one of the many parallel prophecies that he came in accordance with. So many times people focus on something so small; but how can that even be a question without understanding the basics of Christ. Father said he would come a second time to bring Salvation; not to die for our sin. (Heb 9:28) Then whoever brings salvation to this world would be 2nd Coming Christ, but what is Salvation? (Luke 1:77) Salvation to to give us knowledge of the Forgiveness of sins. As we know Christ Ahnsahnghong preached the Passover. The only way to receive Forgiveness of sins. (Matt 26:17-28) That means that he is Second coming Christ. The ONLY one who has brought the truth. The ONLY one who has established Zion; finished the prophecy of King David, came as our Melchizedek, brought Salvation, led us to the Tree of Life, and shared in our likeness and humanity by dying. Through his death it gives me more confidence that he is God Almighty.

  12. Christian P

The two major mistakes, that critics of WMSCOG make, is firstly not understanding that second coming Christ will appear again in the flesh and the difference between physical death and spiritual death.
According to Hebrews 9:28 Christ will appear again to bring salvation. First off, let us understand why Christ needs to appear again; the reason is to bring his people salvation. Did salvation already exist during that time? No, if salvation did exist then he would not need to bring salvation! Will any of the thousands of different denominations of Christianity say they don’t have salvation? All of the churches will say they have salvation; but according to the Bible there is no salvation in their present state which is why Christ needs to appear again. As well, why are there thousands of denominations with different teachings? If there was one Christ, one Bible, there should be one teaching! Therefore there is only one way to have salvation.
According to 1Peter 2:21 Christ suffered for us to leave us an example. Two thousand years ago Jesus Christ suffered on the cross, died, and resurrected. Does that also mean that we must be crucified on the cross, die, and then resurrect again on this Earth? No! The physical example was meant to show us, the spiritual reality. The spiritual meaning of the cross means the burdens and sufferings of the world. To die means to get rid of the sinful nature of this world, and to resurrect means to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Why would anyone want to resurrect on this Earth again if there is suffering and no salvation? What it means that death no longer has mastery over him, means that when we change our sinful ways and resurrect in the Kingdom of Heaven, we no longer have our sinful nature. Sin is death; no sin means no death. There is no death in the Kingdom of Heaven, only eternal life.

  13. Lukas Dohnal

Hello. I have a question. Before Jesus’ ascension, he tells his disciples that he will come back to them “in the same manner” as they see him go to Heaven. What is that supposed to mean and why? 🙂

    • The True WMSCOG

Thanks Lukas for the Question, please subscribe and I will be posting an article about it soon. Thanks once again

  14. Julio R.

This is the perfect answer for those who misunderstand the verses and the prophecies of the bible. After reading this article there is no doubt that Rom 6:9 is not speaking concerning the 2nd coming Christ when he comes, but about Jesus after his resurrection. Christ Ahnsahnghong truly fulfills every prophecy concerning the 2nd coming Christ and showed us how to love again. If Christ Ahnsahnghong would have never come I wonder what would be the destiny of this world, that only follows false gods ?(Act 17:23) I want to learn more about our father that fulfilled everything I want the whole world to see that he is the Christ that has come to bring us salvation (Hew 9:28).

  15. Jessica L.

This reminds me if the verse in Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active sharper than any double edged sword..”

When the word of God is used correctly it covers the whole world by its light! Though someone may try to distort even one verse but the truth cannot be kept hidden.
