Christ Ahnsahnghong and the fallacy of guilt by association
Many of the websites that speak negatively about Christ Ahnsahnghong and the World Mission Society Church of God use the same logic, that logic is “guilty by association.” Guilt by association is defined as an inductive informal fallacy, which is also known as a hasty generalization. Pretty much, if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s a duck, and anything that comes from that same country, is also a duck! This fallacy is made as an appeal to emotion and is not based on facts.
Some examples of guilt by association are as follows:
- Peter is a criminal. Peter is from California. Therefore, all the people from California are criminals.
- Tom, John, Chris, and Will are all friends of Ray, and they are all corrupt politicians. Tammy is a friend of Ray. Therefore, Tammy is a corrupt politician.
2,000 years ago Jesus was a victim of this fallacy. When Jesus was crucified, He was crucified between two criminals. Although Jesus Himself was not a criminal, I am sure that those who did not know Jesus Christ automatically judged Him and thought of Him as being a criminal as a result of association.
This is the same thing people try to do with the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong. They speak about the Unification Church and Sun Myung Moon, then they say that the World Mission Society Church of God and Christ Ahnsahnghong must be the same since it started in South Korea.
In reality, there are absolutely no similarities in the teachings of the World Mission Society Church of God and the Unification Church. The Unification Church teaches principles that do not come from the Bible, as per their official website:
“Sun Myung Moon studied the Bible and many other religious teachings in order to unravel these mysteries of life and human history.”
The World Mission Society Church of God and the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong come strictly from the Bible and nothing else. The Unification Church keeps Sunday service, Christmas and all other teachings that do not come from the Bible. The World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Passover and the Sabbath of the New Covenant just as Jesus taught 2,000 years ago.
So instead of judging by standards of association with other religious groups, why don’t you try to understand Christ like the disciples did 2,000 years ago?
How did the disciples recognize Jesus 2,000 years ago?
John 4:41-42 – “And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, ‘We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the savior of the world.’”
2,000 years ago, the first thing people considered was His teachings. It was because of His teachings that the people believed He was the savior of the world. What was the second thing they considered?
John 1:44-45 – “Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’”
The second thing the disciples considered was how Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the Old Testament. Then it was because of His teachings and the prophecies He fulfilled that the disciples were able to recognize Jesus Christ as the Savior.
In the same way, it is because of what He taught and the prophecies He fulfilled that I believe Christ Ahnsahnghong is the second coming of Christ – not because of what people say about Him or by how popular He is.
From my research, I can confidently say that there are no similarities between the Unification Church and the World Mission Society Church of God.

When it comes to understanding God we must understand what the scriptures says. Many People want to past judgements just by what other people around them or simply based on what they read online says. We cant past judgements just by other people’s opinion especially when it comes to God. I have taken my personal time and studied with the COG to understand their teachings, please do the same.

Guilty by Association, this happens so much in human society where even innocent people get accused of being guilty. Of course I am not judging any church, but just for the record we are nothing like the unification church. We don’t keep Christmas or Sunday worship. Our teachings are completely opposite. We keep the commands of God and it’s something so precious to us

Exactly its different since Jesus established the new Covenant Passover and the Jew’s keep the Passover the old covenant way….I believe.

Correction. Jesus established the New Covenant on the day of the Jewish passover. The next day he was killed as our passover lamb. 1 Cor 5:7.
As you can see, The new covenant was established first. Our passover is Jesus’ death and resurrection which happened later.

It’s true that although many people now and days don’t even bother to read the Bible they still seem to have an opinion on it. They do know that the Bible says to watch out for false prophets so automatically when they hear that Christ came already (which is also testified in the Bible) they are quick to be close minded. However, God said to not treat prophecies with contempt but to test all of them and reject every kind of evil (1 Thess 5:20-22). Everything written in the Bible was written to teach us (Romans 15:4). So then God saying to not treat prophecies with contempt but to TEST them means He wants us to study the prophecies in the bible and learn His teaching to that we may recognize Him when He comes. Only then would we be able to reject all other false claims against our true Savior Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother. In my experience in trying to understand the prophecies in the Bible, I have only been able to understand 100% understand everything written about Christ when I studied at the WMSCOG. I was not able to understand anything about the Bible in any other church.

This article actually made me realize how easy it is to consider Jesus as a criminal. On the cross unable to save Himself who can truly believe that He is the Messiah?
But to those who had faith in HIS WORD saw Christ on the cross, they saw Him as atonement for our sins. Those who trusted in the word of God believed and followed prophecy correctly with firm faith!
In the same way many look at Christ AhnSahngHong as a mere man, with out stopping to consider the word of God and judge incorrectly. They do not view Him as the Savior who came again, but fail to understand Him correctly through prophecies. Truly He is God, the bible point all signs that he is the Savior in this age! -
There is nothing new under the sun, all this nonsense of being the same as the unification church is truly sad that this people will just say things without any evidence, just because both churches are from Korea it does not mean they are the same, clearly the Church of God Follows all the teachings of the bible and the other does not! The disciples of 2000 years ago were able to recognize Christ through the scriptures! There is no difference now a days, the true disciples must follow what the scriptures say!, and all the scriptures point out to Christ Ahnsahnghong!He is the one who restore all the truth! He is God almighty! as God says through the bible, the truth shall set you free!

It is not right to judge without knowing, we can’t judge other people just because of one person wrongs, even 2,000 year ago Christ was judged because of the criminals that were at his side while on the cross, however Christ was our savior but everyone who didn’t accept Him and rejected him, and many rejected him even before they heard that he was the savior and that was just because of what other said about Him. Christ teach us not to judge anything or no body.
Matthew 7:1-5 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
When we judge other we should look at ourselves first, if we are doing wrong is it correct to speak about others? No is not. Then we can’t judge with out knowing.Father Christ Ahnsahnghong came to this earth and gave us hope for the kingdom of Heaven through His teachings then who we are to talk or judge we are sinners who don’t deserve anything but even when we don’t deserve the mercy of God He came down to this earth to give us salvation. Then we should obey the words of God written in the bible we shouldn’t reject Christ the savior just because of what people said, even Christ showed us and taught us that the way to know Christ is only through the scriptures
John 5:39-40 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
And if we don’t know the scriptures then we are in error because we don’t recognize God who has come in the flesh
Matthew 22:29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.
We should study the scriptures and recognize Christ not just turn away based on what others say.

2000 years ago the pharisees regarded Jesus as low class because He came from Galilee, they deemed Jesus as not good because nothing good came from Galilee (John 7:41-52) However, Jesus is the true prophet, the true Messiah, the true God who humbled Himself to come to this world to save people. When people associate us with others without knowing the teachings of the WMSCOG established by Christ Ahnsahnghong they make the same mistake the Pharisees made 2000 years ago.

Although it wasn’t easy to believe in Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, the disciples who believed in Him out of the 5000 knew He was the Messiah to save mankind –
John 6:68 – Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
Then it is the same now – although believing in the Christ is not at all easy, the One who brought back the words of eternal life is our Savior – that is Christ Ahnsahnghong.Now it only makes sense how history repeats itself as written in Ecclesiastes 1:9 – “What has been will be again, there is nothing new under the sun.”
The truths in the bible and made known to us by Christ Ahnsahnghong are undeniable and only continued study at the WMS Church of God made it even more evident as to who truly has the words of eternal life.
And as history repeats itself again with the disciples 2000 years ago so it takes place now – Acts 5:39 – “But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

When we judge Christ based on the opinions and perceptions of others we are unable to receive Him as the one who will give us Eternal Life. Those who judged Christ 2,000 years and labeled him as guilty by association failed to recognize that He was God almighty in the flesh. It is the same now, if we just listen to what the unbelievers have to say about Christ Ahnsahnhong, we too would be making the mistake of not receiving or recognizing Him as our Savior. Christ Ahnsahnghong taught us the truths in the bible and He is the one who fulfilled all the prophecies written. He is the one who came to this earth a second time to give us salvation.

In the Church of God we can testify that Christ AhnSahngHong is God because He fulfills all the prophesies in the Bible just as Jesus did 2,000 years ago. Judging God based on others’ assumptions or by association is a bias. If you want to know true God then study the Bible correctly because the Bible testifies about our Saviors the Holy Spirit and the Bride!! Like the saying goes: don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but rather have an open mind and give Elohim God a chance!

Jesus said that when He comes again as the Holy Spirit, He will remind us of everything He said when he came the first time (John 14:26). Jesus never taught about any other religions, he only testified about himself through the Bible (Luke 22:25-27). Likewise Christ Ahnsahnghong has done the same, testified about Himself through the Bible. All the little white dots (stars) in the sky look the same, until you have the right instrument, a telescope. With our own eyes, we cannot see the difference. Our spiritual telescope is the Bible. We have to study prophecy to see who Christ Ahnsahnghong is. Please come study!

We can’t base our beliefs and who Christ is by how popular someone or the religion is. The Unification church and the World Mission Society Church of God have no similarities in doctrine what so ever. I know and believe Christ Ahnsahnghong is 2nd coming Christ because he fulfilled every prophecy and everything our Heavenly Father taught us is directly from the bible.

After reading this article, it has been made clear that people today are just like the people 2,000 years ago who denied and rejected christ. By people saying Christ Ahnsahnghong is not the second coming, they are just fulfilling the prophecies of those who couldn’t come to believe in Jesus Christ. People who say the WMSCOG is just like the Unification church are ignorant and are making false accusations, just like the pharisee’s because they lack the knowledge of what the WMSCOG truly teaches. They are just making fallacies without even taking time to learn what the WMSCOG is all about. Just like the disciples recognized Christ from what was written in the scriptures, today we believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong as the second coming because He fulfilled ALL scripture and prophecy. I really hope people can come to the WMSCOG with an open heart and mind and see for themselves through the bible about Christ Ahnsahnghong and receive salvation!!

People today believe anything they see and read on the Internet. We cannot believe without proof. 2,000 years ago when Christ came, even though He was the Messiah, only 12 believed. Why? It was because the ones who did not believe tried to convince others not to believe as well.
Mat 28:11-15 ” While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.”
Christ resurrected to fulfill prophecy, yet instead of accepting the truth the people who denied Christ paid the guards to lie so others would deny as well. Now Christ Ahnsahnghong fulfilled all the prophecies in the Bible and taught us all the truth of life but instead of accepting it, the people who don’t believe are trying to make up false testimonies so that everyone else wont believe. Let us not believe what others say. Let us study the Bible profoundly and see that Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Savior of this age.
